(PHOTO) LoJack® System Helps Tulsa Police Department Recover a Stolen Honda Accord

The owner of a 2008 Honda Accord contacted the Catoosa, Oklahoma, Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a residence in Catoosa, Oklahoma.

The Catoosa PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activates the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later the Tulsa Police Department Air Support, Police One, and a second officer in a ground unit picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in patrol cars and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the air crew and the officer were able to quickly track the signal to the 3000 block of S.86th E. Ave. in Tulsa. The pilot and the officer observed the stolen Honda backed into the drive way of a residence. The officer made immediate contact with two individuals who were taken into custody. When recovered the Honda was in good condition and undamaged and will be returned to the owner.
