LoJack® System Helps Chandler Police Department Recover Stolen Honda Accord

The owners of a 2014 Honda Accord contacted the Chandler Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the residence. The Honda was believed to have been taken without permission by an acquaintance of their son.
The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.
A short while later, officers from the Chandler Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to a neighborhood near Cooper Road and Riggs Road in Chandler.
The Honda was found unoccupied on a side street in the neighborhood. The Honda was recovered and processed for evidence. The Honda was later returned to the owners in good condition.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in July 2014 at Tempe Honda in Arizona.
