LoJack is proud to play a role in the capture of a felonious YouTube video star. On the morning of February 17, a San Antonio man reported that his 2013 Kawasaki ZX6 had been stolen the night before. Luckily, the motorcycle was equipped with a LoJack® system. After the LoJack system was activated, authorities picked up the signal and tracked the stolen motorcycle to a residential area, where they found the bike hidden behind large garbage containers. After a short foot chase, authorities found a suspect in the theft hiding behind a building in the rear of a home.

Once the suspect was arrested, authorities discovered that he  was also the star of an infamous online video. The suspect was the same man who had used a helmet camcorder to record a 100-MPH ride through dangerous San Antonio rush hour traffic; he posted the video to the San Antonio Police Department’s Facebook page, daring the authorities to “catch me if you can.” You can watch the local news report about the story here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJIIddfseg4) or check out the local news report on his capture (https://www.khou.com/news/San-Antonio-Police-Catch-me-if-you-can-motorcycle-suspect-arrested-245909011.html).
